Seriously

Just a quick shout out with conventions coming up and such feel free to message me if you need some help. I know I'm a beginner and all that and that my quadsuit didn't turn out all that fantastic but I have done a LOT of research so if you need help with something I can try my best to answer any questions. I created this blog so that people like me who wanted to try quadsuiting and other costumes with more difficulty could get help with any stumbles.
So yeah...just saying. I'm here for you, if you want me to be....

halfway head

wire frame heads are interesting to build. I used the mascot book again which you can find Here. It is actually very helpful. It shows how to make suits from various materials and it has a whole chapter just on heads. I used it to help with the quadsuit as well. First you want to start out with the side profile...
Then it has you do a horizontal piece.

I wish styrofoam heads were the same size as regular heads. But alas I do not have one in my head size.

this shows the third attachment piece.
this also shows the third piece.
skipped a few steps but basically just more circles added. I almost stopped here but my father pointed out very wisely that the more wire I added the sturdier it would be.
the piece of tape near the head's eye is where my eye line is.

ugly side profile of me. I was surprised I could stick my head in with the wire.

shows my possible ear. Kazma's ears are freakishly long and I'll be hitting doorways every time I go anywhere so I tried to shorten them just a little but this, I think, is too short. Still haven't worked out how I'll support them because they're a little heavy.
So as soon as I have all the pieces worked out I'll solder the connecting points and tape over sharp wire ends. And after that I'll sew a fabric mesh over the wire and, depending on if I use iron melding interfacing as the mesh or not, I'll either sew the fur from there or from the mesh.
trying to keep working and making progress. So far I've done okay with time management but I'm thinking it's the calm before the storm.
