Time is my worst enemy

Hello all. Well the convention is gone and past and so is my quadsuit making. For at least a couple years. The stress has done me in (along with the glue fumes). Well anyway I promised many pictures and many videos of the process of making my quadsuit. I just want to remind you that the blog is called the n00b costume maker for a reason! I am very much a beginner and have done things wrong or done it a much harder way. You don't have to follow exactly what I do because I can guarantee that there is probably a much simpler way to do it. (If that makes any sense). Basically I'm a beginner, so yes it looks terrible and give me some leeway. Banzai 2012:

Now I ran out of time (again, big surprise) so I never had the change to actually sew my seams down and so bits of it ended up splitting. But I'm not fixing it for next year. It's going to stay as is for a couple years.
I do just want to put out there that if you have any questions on something I did Please feel free to contact me at diaryofan00bcostumemaker@gmail.com I'll try my best to help you with what I can and I hope I can be helpful.
Thank you! and please look forward to my next costume I'm making for Banzai 2013 which is:
King Kazuma from Summer Wars!

Hello again!
It's good to see you all again. I must apologize for my long absence. The convention has come and gone and may I just say that it was a disaster! So now I'm picking back up from where I left off. Allow me to show you this disaster of a quadsuit.

What went wrong:
Obviously a lot of it.
1. Time: I was actually locked in my hotel room for two of the three convention days crying tears of frustration gluing foam and fur on. T^T it was unpleasant. So don't procrastinate!
2. The head: The head is around 90% of a quadsuit. This is what sells the realistic look. What did I do wrong with that? I let someone else do it. So I ended up with a minecraft head. *sigh* Needless to say I'm not letting that person help on the next one.
3. Fur: This goes along with the time factor. I waited too long and was at the point of my patience where I just wanted it stuck on. I didn't care about the grain of the fur I just wanted it put together.
4. Foam: Some of the foam isn't all that bad. Like the little bit near the bottom of the back feet. I'm actually surprised that I need to remove a lot of it and not necessarily put any more on. Except the front stilts.
5. The Tail: just a little too short. and it also kept falling to the side and getting stuck. A simple solution is to sew a little bit of the top onto the rest of the body, it will still get movement but will also stay on the back and not fall to the side.

So what now?
I'm redoing it!! My original thought was to make a whole new one but my budget has spoken (loudly) and I simply don't have the funds to make one from scratch. So I'm starting with this as a base and doing it all over again. Stay tuned for the next quadsuit!
I also plan to document the process over again. I have my duct tape dummy pictures ready I just need to upload them on the computer so also stay tuned for that!
Convention is in 3 and a half weeks! EEK! Wish me luck.
